Paul Grey Masks
Paul Grey is the bassist of Slipknot and highly talented at that! He has worn several different looking slipknot masks while working with the band.
Grey started out by only wearing tape for a mask. He then changed to wearing a pig mask before changing to a mask with the same nose, dark eyes and with a missing mouth. He then again changed and wore a mask with bars over the mouth along with a bullet hole decoration.
Chris Fehn Masks
Fehn is
the percussionist with the band. He also performs backup vocals in both the live performances and their recordings. Fehn wears six different changes of his mask. However the nose is always seven and a half inches long.
No one is really certain as to what the origin of this style of slipknot mask is. There are theories ranging from a mask worn by doctors durin the Black Plague where the mask nose was stuffed with herbs to protect them from the smell – to that of the Pinocchio character.
Jim Root Masks
Jim Root is one of the guitarists in Slipknot, as well as being a songwriter and drum player. His most recent mask is resembles a jester, but has vertical black scars around both the eyes, and a zipper between its black lips.
Rumor has it that the mask was inspired by the main character in the movie ‘The Crow’.
Michael “Mick” Thompson Masks
In Slipknot’s earlier years, Thomson used to wear a green hockey mask with six round holes in the mouth area. Later, Thomson wore silver Slipknot masks that had similar features.
Thomson’s current mask is still metallic with the same face.
Corey Taylor Masks
Corey Taylor is the principle vocalist for SlipKnot. His mask initially used to be a leather cover on his face with brown dreads. Some of the dreadlocks were his real hair which he pulled through the mask.
